The Philosophy

The creators of the DOBI
® learning system believe that a positive self concept is the key to unlocking potential exceptionalities and talents in children. DOBI® uses the humanities to introduce students to subjects out of the school curriculum and into a world of knowledge. DOBI® is not about how many words a child can read or write, but how the child can use speech and writing effectively. DOBI® is not about how good a child is at Math but how the child uses metacognitive strategies to solve problems and to regulate thoughts and actions. DOBI gives the child a chance to grow with a positive self concept through successful social interaction.

The Aims
The DOBI® programme aims to guide the child towards:

 Having a cosmopolitan outlook that embraces diversity through acquiring a wide base of       knowledge from the humanities.

Overcoming adversity and identifying areas of exceptionality through metacognitive self       talk.

Having an elevated level of self confidence for pursuing dreams and aspirations.

Successful social interaction.
