1. DOBI® Workshops
A 4 half-day introductory workshop to the DOBI programme suitable for ages 9 to 18
Developing self, Overcoming adversity, Building confidence, Interacting socially through

Building knowledge through research, dialogue, interpreting theme-based psychology, philosophy, sociology, the arts.

Reflecting and self awareness to uncover beliefs that stop us from personal growth.

Participating in new experiences to build confidence.

Individual and group work to practise social skills.

Fees All Levels - $120.00 (4 sessions, 3 hours per session)

2. DOBI® Programme
Once a week sessions that systematically uses the four concepts of DOBI to

Develop self concept
Help students acquire a wide knowledge base from the humanities by engaging students in discussion and creative research. The aim is to spark enquiry and facilitate learning about self in wider contexts. This would inadvertently involve language and discourse which is a secondary benefit of this programme.

Overcome adversity
Help students gain awareness of their own beliefs and attitudes and identify barriers to learning and living. This involves engaging in survival skills, social skills, decision making skills and problem solving skills activities. The aim is to facilitate change in negative beliefs and attitudes through positive self talk and concrete knowledge of alternatives. The aim is to facilitate discovery of areas of exceptionality.

Build confidence
Provide students with opportunities to delve into new experiences that will further affirm areas of exceptionality. Students engage in activities extending from a variety of disciplines including art, dramatics, public speaking, writing and publication, music, dance and computers.

Interact socially
Students are provided with opportunities for social interaction beyond the realm of school and home communities. Inkblots Learning runs the Harmony Project (HARP) that prepares students for community service in the form of public performance, helping out at charitable organisations, promoting harmony and peace in various forms. The aim of HARP is to provide real ways for young people to promote racial, religious and community harmony in ways they do best.

3. Literacy Programme

Literacy at is taught in a DOBI environment. This is a total literacy programme that helps children read, write, listen and speak well. It uses specially selected story books and children’s literature to develop literacy skills as well as provide children with opportunities to acquire knowledge and develop reasoning skills.

The Literacy programme is taught in modules that increase in complexity. There are 12 sessions in one module. 4 modules are taught in a year.
